ARID-Ice Recreational Arenas
Climate by Design International (CDI) has successfully designed desiccant dehumidifiers for recreational and spectator arenas throughout North America. We offer a variety of dehumidifiers for recreation and municipal Ice Arenas.
Century-Tel Center Muti-Purpose Arena is a 15,000 seat new multi-purpose spectator arena. CDI successfully designed (4) CDH-1114 Desiccant Dehumidifiers with chilled water pre-cooling coils. Each unit manages 48,000 SCFM outside or return air and delivers conditioned air to the main air handlers supplementing the HVAC system.
McMorran Place is a 5,000 seat existing spectator arena. CDI designed a single MDH-160 Desiccant Dehumidification and ventilation unit to supplement the existing HVAC system. This unit provides a total airflow of 12,000 SCFM with a moisture removal rate of 750 lbs/hr in the summer months. Continuous 100% outside air is dehumidified to provide and meet code ventilation standards.
The Taylor Sportsplex is a dual surface arena. CDI designed one MDH-160 and one MDH-168 Dehumidification and Ventilation system which provide full IAQ air volumes, for a healthy environment free of fog and condensation. These units are each equipped with optional post-heat of 1,200 MBH for a comfortable winter skating experience.
The Kensington Valley Arena is a triple surface arena. CDI designed one DH-130 which conditions the north arena and one DH-148 which conditions the additional two arenas. |
