Frozen Food Packaging Plant
ARID-Dry prevents moisture infiltration into low temperature spiral freezers by establishing dry air zones at conveyor openings. The dry air pressurizes these transitional areas to keep moisture from frosting the freezer evaporator coils. This design also prevents ice build up in the freezer to avoid costly mechanical failures of conveyor and spiral drives. The dehumidifier allows consistent temperature control in the freezer and prevents unscheduled defrost that interrupts production flow.
ARID-Dry Dehumidification Units
ARID-Dry units use active desiccant dehumidification to reduce humidity levels for a variety of applications. The desiccant dehumidifier reduces specific humidity by using enhanced silica gel concentrated on a fluted wheel. The silica gel attracts ambient water vapor which is concentrated on the desiccant rotor. The rotor moves through a heated air stream to release the water vapor and exhaust to the atmosphere. The heated air stream is called the reactivation air. The process is continuous and provides control levels for low dew points or low relative humidity. |
